Graduation pics...

The long awaited grad pics

Awe, the roomie pic, gotta love it! :) A little update in case you were wondering: Keilah is now about to start her job as a staff accountant at Moss Adams in Everett after five amazing years of extremely loyal service to Albertson's. She is now living around the Mill Creek Area (by Lynnwood). And of course, my Chelsey. Chels is living in Colorado now working at a hospital or clinic, something to that extent anyway... working to get enough hours to go to PA school. She is also going to school taking some Chem courses to get the old grades up. I miss her tons and tons!!

Grad School Update.... Part 2

Well hello, hello. Sorry I have not posted in a very very VERY long time. I feel like you are all aware of everything going on in my life, but not having this up-to-date really bothers me, so as usual, I will be posting a lot to make up for it! As you all know by now, I got into graduate school at SPU. I also was very lucky to get my class schedule all approved and am taking some things out of sequence in order to be able to play in my matches on Thursday nights(I was supposed to have a mandatory intro class that night)! Anyway, this is all very exciting and I'm thrilled that everything is working out how I planned.

On another very exciting note, in two years I will have earned my MS in ISM (Information Systems Management), the cool thing I have discovered is that if I go to school one more year after that and take three classes a quarter, I can also recieve my MBA. Which, of course, I'm now planning on doing because education is pretty neat-o and you all know I'd love to go to school as a career. Anyway, it would really give me a lot of options in life and more education is always a plus! :) Of course, this all depends upon my life at that time, I mean, shoot, if there's no hubby in the future at that point, I might as well continue to avoid joining the work force for one more year!! haha. Welp, that's it. Hope you feel well informed now on my education and life goals.

Grad School Update....

Well, as you all should know, I'm applying to graduate school as SPU to get an MS in Information Systems Management. I just turned in my official transcript and my application fee today. I haven't been able to make myself do the "personal statement" (essay) yet, but I will force myself as I have nothing to do anyway this weekend and I will turn in my application on Monday. I took the GRE and hopefully all will be well, I will get accepted and you will be reading another post in a week and a half or so telling you all the happy news! Until then... :)

I miss my team!

Okay, I just couldn't resist posting some LOVELY pictures of my girls, you would miss them too! I can't wait til we hit the gym again, 3 weeks from Monday!!! It's sooo crazy how short our summer is! But really, my favorite part of summer is when pre-season starts and I get to be with all of my love's with no one else to hog them! :)

I love the water!

This and the following pictures were taken aboard whatever boat we were on, haha, for the Senior Salute for SPU seniors on May 20, 2006.

I live in such a beautiful place!

Hug anyone?

Okay, seriously, that looks like just about one of the best hugs of all time. If I do say so myself, we are pretty dang cute! :)

Awwwwwe, how adorable. Katie and I and our cute little moms. How is it that our moms are so much smaller than us??? hehe

Could we be any happier?

I love this picture! This is from the Senior Salute boat cruise around Lake Union and the like. It was a lot of fun and of course I had my Katie and her mother there (as well as my moma) so I couldn't have had more fun. If you can't tell, we are laughing/smiling so big because the wind was blowing so hard and Katie's skirt was flying all over the place. It was pretty funny. :)

Warrior Rachel

Wa ha ha. I think this is an awesome pic (although I guess I look scared and I warrior really should look fierce, but I did my bestest). I was able to do it here: http://www.sp-studio.de/
It's a whole lotta fun and a great time waster... draw you, draw your friends. Enjoy! :)

I'm officially in the clear!

Well, folks, the results are in: I've officially passed my spring quarter classes and thus will graduate as planned! Yay! I know you were all secretly worried, hehe. But actually I did better than pass, this was my second best quarter at SPU with a 3.7, how special. So I graduated with a 3.62... I'm happy with that I guess, although of course I didn't get cum laude, mom will never let that one down. The reason for this is that they only count SPU credits for the honor cords when you graduate from SPU. Although I'd like to argue that I'm earning my bachelor's degree, which is of course means I couldn't earn the degree had I not had some other GPA included. Alas, they will not count your transfer GPA. I ended up with a 3.39 from SPU, which I also thought was pretty darn good for computer science. In all honesty, my GPA would have skyrocketed had I not been forced to take those awful Christian classes in which I received a C+ and B- respectively whereas I never got worse than a straight B in any other course. Sad, but true. Anyway, I hope you all feel very informed at this point. I will try to start writing more in posts. Love you all! :)
